TM600 Monochromator
The TM600 is intended for the more demanding spectroscopic applications which benefit from its high resolution, excellent imaging quality and high scattered light rejection. As with all Bentham monochromators, flexibility, reliability and automation are all standard. The optical configuration and general construction are based on the experience gained from having manufactured thousands of monochromators as well as benefiting from modern computer aided design software and manufacturing techniques.
The TM600 is an imaging monochromator/spectrograph with torroidal mirrors fitted to correct for astigmatism. The optical layout is an asymmetric Czerny-Turner configuration, optimised to provide an excellent image quality over the full flat field by minimising chromatic and other aberrations. Re-diffracted light is not an issue with the TM600. A large focussing mirror is fitted to ensure no loss of throughput at the extremes of the focal plane.
Configuration: Asymmetric Czerny-Turner
Focal length: 600mm
Grating drive: Triple grating turret, interchangeable option
Aperture ratio: f/6.4
Dispersion: 1.35nm/mm (1200g/mm)
Resolution: 0.05nm (4mm slit height, 1200g/mm)
Flat field: 27 x 14mm (W x H)
Accuracy: ±0.1nm (1200g/mm)
Repeatability: 0.05nm (1200g/mm)
Interface: USB 2.0
Ports: 1 or 2 entrance, and 1 or 2 exit
Slits: Fixed, variable, motorised or CCD/camera mount
Filter wheel: Internal 6 or 8 position, optional
Purge port: Option, recommended for deep UV and IR use
A DTM600 double monochromator (2 x 600mm f/length) and TTM600 triple monochromator (3 x 600mm f/length) with additive and/or subtractive dispersion are also available for the most demanding applications e.g. Raman spectroscopy.
